The State of Texas and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency have established stream standards for temperature, dissolved oxygen, total dissolved solids, and pH for most water bodies in the state. Standards vary according to geographic location and according to the established uses of the water body. Conductivity values in the following table were converted from total dissolved solids (TDS) using the conversion: TDS (mg/L)/0.67 = Conductivity (µS/cm). Conductivity is rounded in the following table.
